If you want to book our translation service, please pay and book it at least 2 weeks before the application deadline for submission of all documents;
If you want to book our guardian service, you need to pay and book it 2 months before the application deadline, just in case your application fails because of failed to submit application documents on time.

*1. English proficiency test certificate

For example, IELTS or TOEFL, only for applicant whose native language is not English.

*2. Completed Original Physical Examination Record for Foreigners and Blood Test Report

The physical examination must cover ALL the items listed in form. The forms with incomplete records or without the suggestion and signature of the attending physician, official cross-edge stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicant are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.

3. Original Research Achievements and Notarized Copies

Applicants may submit published research papers, award certificates or other documents to prove their achievement and ability in academic research if any.

*5. Photocopy of Valid Ordinary Passport

The passport should be valid later than September 2025. If you do not meet the requirements, please renew your passport in time.

*6. Passport photo

A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant

*7. Original transcripts in undergraduate or graduate period and their notarized copies

Academic Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization. Both original and official English translated version are required.

*8. Original Highest Diploma and Its Notarized Copies

Certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization. Both original and official English translated version are required.
Prospective diploma winners must submit official certifi- cate from their current university.

*9. Recommendation Letters

Two original recommendation letters written by professors or associate professors. If applicants have already received provisional acceptance from professors at XJTU, please provide Xi’an Jiaotong University Recommendation Letter from a Potential Supervisor as one of the two recommendation letters.

*10. A Study Plan or Research Proposal

Applicants must submit a written study plan or research proposal in English or Chinese, with a minimum of 1500 words.

Tips:
For applicants who are in China: If you are an employee, you still need to provide employment separation certificate and your current residence permit. If you are a student, you need to provide transfer certificate, leaving certificate, certificate of attendance rate issued by previous school and your current residence permit.
